Yo Mike! What’s up man – you haven’t been blogging/Facebooking/Tweeting much lately. What gives???
First and foremost, thanks for the concern 😉
Needless to say, the past couple of months have been really busy, and yes, I haven’t been as “visible” lately.
Part of this is due to a laser-like focus on priorities, and part of it is a function of a more over-arching theme.
But I don’t want to leave you hanging, so here’s what I’ve been up to lately…
Shooting the Bulletproof Body/UnBodybuilder/Project Still to be Named video clips.
One of the very cool things I’m doing with this project is making the video ridiculous.
When you write someone a program, it could the best program EVER, but if they don’t execute the exercises correctly, they won’t get maximal benefit.
And unfortunately, a lot of online “programs” assume that their reader is doing things correctly!
I don’t want to leave anything to chance, so myself, Lance and young Eric Oetter filmed all 110 videos with two cameras, voice over coaching cues, the works.
Quite simply, if you’re going to follow the program, I want you to derive maximal benefit. I think this is going to be a game changer.
The launch of Bootcamp in a Box is right around the corner.
Unless you’ve launched a product before, you have no clue how time consuming this can be.
Obviously, getting all your materials together and making sure they’re on point is a significant chunk of time.
But once the product is completed you still have all this to look forward to:
- Creating the sales page/website,
- Coordinating and getting bonus products,
- Doing all the back end stuff in the shopping cart (receipts, bonus links, etc.),
- And on, and on, and on.
Regardless, this product could very well revolutionize the way we approach bootcamps.
Rather than constantly beating people down, we teach you safe and effective ways to install smart bootcamp training into your programs. Progressions, regressions, coaching cues, and of course, 6-months of done-for-you workouts.
This product will launch next week, so I’ll be sure to keep you in the mix.
Training people.
I never like to brag, but over the past 2-3 years I’ve had the pleasure of working with some very high level clients.
I don’t think they’d mind me naming them here, but they include a Major League Soccer player, a member of the US Women’s National Soccer team, and a handful of other athletes.
Needless to say, when their off-season is in and they’re around, I’m working my *ss off in the gym to make sure they are a total monster by the time the season rolls around.
Online stuff is all fine and dandy, but I’d trade working with a real person for the online thing any day of the week.
Random “other” stuff.
Beyond the big projects, I’m working on a ton of “other” items as well:
- A complete overhaul of the RTS website,
- Planning and coordinating the next two Midwest seminars,
- Revamping my online client/training programs, and
- Building IFAST into a powerhouse of a gym – and I don’t want even get into all the stuff I’ve been doing there right now!
As you can see, lack of blogging doesn’t correlate to lack of working. You, my super awesome, amazing, and ridiculously good-looking reader just don’t always get to see it!
Focusing on the big picture.
One of the issues with my type of work is that you have to stay focused if you actually want to make money and/or stay in business.
It’s not like a normal 9-5 where you show up to work, and then you get paid.
I have to focus on seeing a project through to completion if I want to actually get paid for it.
As such, there are times when I have to “go dark” on the web front to get the really important stuff done.
That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy social media, blogging, etc., and that doesn’t mean I don’t see the long-term value in it.
It just means that at the end of the day, that’s not the most high-value project I can be working on.
I sincerely hope that makes sense 😉
Regardless, I think you’ll soon realize that 2013 is going to be the most powerful, productive, and impactful year ever here at RTS.
As always, thanks for your support and I look forward to sharing an amazing year with you!
All the best
MR
