5 Things I Need to Say

The thing about change is—whether it’s good or bad—it forces you to reflect on where you’re at, where you’re going, and where you want to be.

So many pivotal moments in my life—from meeting my mentors, opening a gym, to raising kids—have taught me about being a coach, entrepreneur, and father.

With the amount of change going on recently, I’ve sure had a lot of opportunities to reflect on those pivotal life moments and their lessons.

Today, I reflect on five thoughts that could help you live a healthier, happier, and more successful life and coaching career.

I explain why you need to choose your mentors wisely and reveal the characteristics that make a great mentor.

I discuss the key considerations you need to make before you open a gym, and describe why coaches need to remind themselves that social media isn’t real.

And last but not least, I underscore the power of taking small, consistent steps towards your goal every day and highlight the importance of engaging and coaching the youth.

Good things don’t happen overnight. Take small, actionable steps daily if you want to achieve massive, long-term goals. – Mike Robertson
