After my post on Wednesday we got a kick-ass response from our readers. I dropped Josef a line, and here’s the update he gave me on Larry and his family:
So far here’s what Larry’s gotten:
* $310 gift certificate to Target
* $25 gift cert to Barnes and Noble* Rich Dad Poor Dad for TeensAt Target his top priorities were:
– A coat (nope, he didn’t have that either and its cold in DC)
– Gifts for his sistersA lot of people donated after I went to Target to get the gift certificate, so the next goal with Tony is to set up a savings account for him to begin to break the poverty cycle.
All in all, I think that’s a pretty damn good response! I think the coolest thing here is the fact that Larry took some of his money and paid it forward, buying presents for his sisters as well. Very cool.
