Miscellaneous Monday 11-16

Peyton Manning

I can barely put together a single coherent thought today, so rather than fight it I’ll do my best to make up for my lack of a random post on Friday.

So, without any further ado, here’s Miscellaneous Monday!

–  There is only one word for that game last night: EPIC.  In all honesty, it sucks that either team has to lose, and I feel like we’re all privileged to watch such great battles between the Pats and the Colts.

–  My good friend Jesse Mogle is doing fundraising for research with regards to Crohn’s disease and colitis.  Take a moment out of your day to read his story, and if you feel so obliged, make a small donation.

Jesse Run’s for Crohn’s and Colitis

–  Luckily for all of you, I have a quote of the week.  As I told Mike the Intern, I’m all about quality over quantity – last week there was no quality material, and then I get this little gem sent in response to a previous blog post:

i whigh 160 im 17 and my max is 330 and im i still trying to get to 400lbs so any body think they can beat that  no idid not think so and its true im putting the video on youtube

That, folks, is genius – pure and simple.  You can’t make it up!

–  Team IFAST had a great showing this past weekend at the Monsters of the Midwest powerlifting meet.  All four lifters set personal best totals, and I think all of them have so much potential going forward it’s ridiculous.  I can’t wait to see where all these guys are at in the next 2-3 years.

I’ll be doing a full write-up later in the week, coupled with video and some critiques of the lifts as well.  Should make for a great newsletter or blog post.

That’s it for today.  I’m technically on “vacation” this week, but really it’s just a chance for me to get caught up on some work oustide of the gym.  I’ll do my best to keep the blog posts coming all week, though.

Stay strong

MR
