The internet is buzzing with the launch of Eric Cressey’s newest product, Show and Go.
I’ve gotten a lot of questions about the product myself, so I figured I’d go ahead and review it here for all my readers. We’ll start off with a basic overview, and then we’ll get into what I really like about the product itself.
What is Show and Go?
Show and Go is a 16-week training program geared towards fitness enthusiasts who are focused on training, moving and feeling like an athlete. Unlike most programs that are geared solely towards aesthetics, Eric’s program is designed to improve your movement, strength and athletic performance.
This product is a digital download that you’ll have immediate access to once you’ve made your purchase.
What all is included in the program?
This program is more than just a collection of workouts – it’s 4-months worth of consistent and well thought out programming.
Within every workout, you have the following:
Foam rolling and soft-tissue exercises.
This includes all of the specific areas you’re supposed to foam roll, lacrosse ball, etc.
Mobility drills and corrective exercises.
Again, all of the exact drills you’re supposed to go through to prepare yourself for the ensuing workout.
Strength training workouts.
The bread-and-butter of the program, all of your workouts are planned for you for the next four months.
Even better, there are options for training either 2, 3 OR 4 days per week, depending on your schedule.
Optional recovery and energy system training workouts for off-days.
For those of you that don’t want to lose your abs or want to shed some body fat along the way, Eric includes several options for off-day conditioning and recovery.
The Video Archive
I’ll talk more about this below, but EVERY SINGLE EXERCISE is performed on video so you can see exactly how you are supposed to execute them.
This alone is worth the price of admission.
The Bonuses
Everybody likes bonuses, and this product has quite a few. When you purchase Show and Go, you’ll get immediate access to the following:
Five Fantastic Finishers – Tony Gentilcore
Innovative Soft-Tissue Strategies – Christopher Howard
The Top 5 Glute Exercises – Bret Contreras
Now that we’ve covered exactly what’s in the program, let’s discuss what I like about the program overall.
What I like about Show and Go
Overall, I think this is a fantastic program. Obviously, I’m biased because Eric and I are not only good friends, but we’ve worked together on so many projects in the past as well.
Regardless, I think these are a few factors that really set Show and Go apart from other similar projects:
Focus on GOALS and performance.
Right off the bat, you’re going to do some basic performance testing to see where you’re at. When was the last time you had a concrete idea of where you’re at? So often, people forget about this basic principle.
Once you know where you’re at, it’s human nature to want to improve upon that number. This gives you some built-in motivation going forward that I’m positive will lead to some great training sessions.
TONS of FAQ
One of the issues with programs like this is there tends to be a lot of room for interpretation.
In this case, Eric goes to great lengths to explain the how’s and why’s behind the program. Honestly, there’s a ton of flat-out great training information in here, whether you actually end up following/using the program or not.
Exercise Modifications
Another common issue when following programs such as this one is your training environment. What if you don’t have a squat rack? Or you can’t deadlift from the floor properly? Or can’t do a chin-up?
These are all valid points, and Eric covers this as well. Quite simply, regardless of your training situation, you can figure out some way to follow the program and get stronger in the process.
The Video Archive
As someone that has dabbled with online video myself, I know how time consuming this process can be.
Eric has compiled over 170 videos to demonstrate every single exercise in the program. You’ll be able to see all the exercises before ever setting foot in the gym, which should really take your performance and lifting technique to the next level.
Again, I may be a bit biased, but I can say without reservation this is far and away the most comprehensive project I’ve seen this year with regards to programming.

PS – If you have specific questions, I would highly recommend going to the Show and Go website and asking them, as they’re better equipped to handle product-specific questions than I am 🙂
