Well it’s Friday, and I can guarantee it’s going to be random, so here goes!
– I just got word from University of Louisville strength coach Joe Kenn that his new website is up and running. Be sure to check it out below:
– Along those same lines, Mike Reinold wrote up a very solid blog on glute function – the link is below. The really cool thing about this blog is that it’s actually based on peer-reviewed science.
The Best Exercises for the Gluteus Maximus and Gluteus Medius
And while we’re on the topic, I just want to say one thing – let’s not fall totally in love with EMG. Sure, it can be useful for measuring electrical activity, but electrical activity is only part of the equation. Last time I checked, muscle torque is important as well, but I digress. I’ll be covering this more in-depth in the future.
– I will be speaking at the NSCA state seminar in Illinois on December 12th of this year, and I think it’s going to be a great event. I’m going to be breaking in a new topic – the differences between unilateral and bilateral lifts, and how I feel you should use both in your training.
If you live near the area, here’s the seminar itinerary:
– We’ve got one week until the Monsters of the Midwest powerlifting meet, and I can’t wait to see how the boys do! I think we’re going to see a lot of PR’s next week, but only time will tell.
– Last but not least, today is the last day to get Warp Speed Fat Loss with all the free bonuses. As I’ve mentioned numerous times, I lost 15 pounds following the diet alone last year, so I can attest to the power of this product. If you need to lose weight fast, be sure to check it out!
– Tons of great content on tap for next week. I’m going to have some new videos posted, as well as an in-depth interview with Nia Shanks. If you haven’t heard of Nia before, it’s ok – she’s relatively new, but I think she’s got a great perspective with regards to fat loss. More importantly, I think she’s going to help a ton of women not only lose weight, but get stronger as well.
I think that’s it for this week. Have a great weekend!
Stay strong
