Why YOU Need Complete Core Fitness

I’m pretty sure not one single day has gone by over the past 11-12 years where someone hasn’t asked me about core training.

Whether it’s in my gym, comments on my blog, or simply random e-mails, the bottom line is people want to learn more about core training.

Period.

For instance, a few months back I wrote an article on core training at T-Nation that outlined some of the basics of my core training philosophy. The feedback was awesome, but I was also shocked at how many questions people still had about core training!

That day I decided I needed to create a product that took you step-by-step through my entire core training philosophy.

Most of you who know me, my blog, and what I’ve done in my career already know this will be a solid product.

But many of you may be new to me, and wondering if this product is right for you.

Here are some answers to questions I’ve already received about the product. And even if I don’t answer your question here, feel free to leave it in the “Comments” section below and I’ll answer it as soon as I can!

Why is core training so popular and important?

Let’s be honest –everyone wants to learn more about core training.

Whether they want 6-pack abs, less back pain, or to simply become a stud athlete, proper core training can help them achieve their goals faster.

Without a strong and stable core, you won’t be able to handle maximal loads in the gym.

You can’t move as efficiently.

And if you have imbalances you’re more likely to suffer from pain, dysfunction, or at the very least, decreased performance.

In fact, I go to great lengths to show you how the entire body works as a seamless, integrated unit.  Dysfunction in the core can not only lead to back pain, but it could set off issues at the hips, knees, lower leg, or even up the kinetic chain to the shoulders and neck!

So yeah, core training is kind of important. It literally is the “center” of your body and ties everything together.

How will your core training system help me?

When it comes to core training, typically one of two things happen:

  • Either you focus too much on superficial muscles (or crappy exercises), and never take the time to build the little guys that help keep us strong and stable, or
  • You ignore isolative core training altogether, hoping that squats, deads and overhead presses will train your core enough.

I’m not going to tell you training the big superficial muscles like the spinal erectors, obliques, rectus abdominus, etc. aren’t important. But they are only one piece to the puzzle, and you need to be doing the right exercises if you want to maximize performance and stay healthy.

How well is your inner core functioning?

Is your diaphragm working well?

Is it optimally aligned to create stability?

These are all questions that need to be answered, regardless of whether you’re interested in getting healthy or getting stronger and more powerful.

On the other hand, some people assume that incorporating the big lifts alone will keep their core strong. And that could be the case.

But often times, the big lifts aren’t enough – especially if you have imbalances or issues that need to be addressed.

What’s worse is continuing to push those big lifts with a poorly aligned or unstable core is going to hold back your progress at the very least.

In a worst-case scenario, you’ll end up injured.

What will this product teach me about core training?

Firstly, you’ll learn how important your inner or deep core muscles are.

And before you write this off, this isn’t another one of those products that harps on the transverse abdominus and has you doing draw-ins for the rest of your life.

Instead, we focus on ways you can integrate your breath, your inner core AND your outer core to keep you strong, healthy and stable.

No draw-ins necessary.

But without this strong foundation, everything else is going to be “off.” It’s like building your million dollar mansion on a $10 foundation – it’s just not going to last!

Second, I’ll show you how to utilize all my exact exercises and progressions, and build them seamlessly into your program.

It’s not just randomly throwing in a cool ab exercise here and there that you found on YouTube – there needs to be a rationalized and well though out approach to implementing the right core training exercises into your programs.

And the best part is it’s a webinar so you can watch it right now and start implementing this stuff immediately!

What do I get?

Complete Core Fitness is 3-hours worth of core training webinars, broken down into 7 individual modules.

Over the seven modules, you’ll get:

  • My basic philosophy regarding core training,
  • The key functional anatomy you need to know to develop better programs,
  • The assessment tools we use every day to determine where someone is dysfunctional, and to drive the program design process to help meet their specific needs,
  • The four critical phases of core training,
  • Coaching cues to get more out of your exercises, and
  • Progressions you can use so your core training is always fresh, fun and challenging.

This is a complete system for core raining from start to finish. To sum it up short and sweet watch these webinars and you’ll know:

  • How to safely and effectively train the core,
  • How to fix muscle imbalances around the core, lumbar spine and pelvis,
  • How to prevent pain and injury, and
  • You’ll learn the secrets to maximize your own performance, as well as that of the clients and athletes you work with.

So these are the questions I’ve already been asked – what else is there?

Leave any questions you might have in the “Comments” section below and I’ll try to answer them ASAP!

All the Best
Mike
