Squats are an awesome total-body exercise for building strength, power and muscle in the lower body.
And ultimately, I want every client and athlete I train to be able to load a squat variation of their choice.
But that leads to a great point – everyone should be working to find a squat variation that works best FOR THEM!
And when it comes to beginners, as Joe Kenn is famous for saying “the days of putting a barbell on someone’s back Day 1 are long gone.”
So in this video, I’m going to outline 5 of my favorite squat variations for beginners.
Whether you train young athletes, older gen pop clients, or anyone in between, I guarantee one of these variations will work for almost anyone you coach.
