Exercise Progression Across Blocks

I think it’s safe to say the days of old-school periodization are dead.

We’re no longer trying to plan out annual (or quadrennial) cycles in Excel, all while meticulously calculating every set and rep to ensure we optimize training load.

BUT…that doesn’t mean we pull out the big exercise wheel each month, give it a spin, and randomly pick our exercises, either!

These days, I’m using my assessment to determine base-level exercise progressions, and then roughly mapping out my exercise progressions across multiple blocks.
